The area is lovely, the beach and sea are beautiful. Plenty to do and lovely to have the ability to use all three campsites and their pools. The grandchildren loved the children’s entertainment . Eurocamp accommodation was fine and in quite a quiet area.
The pool at Charlemagne is too warm! Also too deep, there is no shallow area in the main pool which as it is aimed at families is odd and felt unsafe. Some of the evening entertainment were shows that the children would love but started at 9.30 and went on too late for the little ones
Accommodation review
We used Eurocamp and the accommodation was in a separate area in Camping Charlemagne away from the main campsite which we thought was nice as it was quieter. We had 4 mobile homes to accommodate our 3 generation holiday and they were all clean and reasonably comfortable. The eurocamp reps were all young but very helpful and friendly
The sheets we hired would not stop coming off the bed because the mattress cover was so slippery! We only had a hob and a microwave so no ability to make toast and we had to ask for an electric kettle but there was only one available

We have just returned from a week at les mediterranees and we had such a fantastic time. The beach is gorgeous, the entertainment was a big hit with the children and we enjoyed our afternoons at the nouvelle floride pool. It was fantastic and we hope to return next year!
I only have a couple of negatives, the beds in the mobile home were very uncomfortable and the main pool at charlemagne was too hot and too deep at 180cm with no shallow end, i only visited it once and hated being constantly out of my depth and it felt as warm as bath water so didn't cool me down!
Accommodation review
Comfortable and quieter than other campsites I've visited

Probably the best campsite we’ve stayed in, loved the option to use the facilities at all 3 campsites (only a short walk apart). Pool areas were great, slides in each. Lots of sunloungers to go around (we occasional had to wait for some to be available but as people move about it was mostly fine). Immaculately clean. There is so much entertainment across the campsites it was a struggle to fit it all in! Staff worked so hard and were all friendly and helpful. Short walk to a lovely clean beach. Short walk into a small tourist ‘town’ area with lots of tourist shops, bars and restaurants.
Would have been helpful to have the entertainment guide on paper. The app was great but some of our party didn’t have internet. There are paper copies located in each campsite but only for that campsite so if you need to double check a time or location of an activity it was a pain for them to find.
Accommodation review
There is no option to select mobile home! We stayed in a homair 3 bed caravan, it looked to be newish and was very nice and clean. We opted for the bed linen and towel package which was good. Air con was amazing, everything we needed was there, water pressure in shower was incredible!
I may have missed it but I half assumed when you pay so much for the linen package the beds would be made on arrival, not a problem but it was the last thing we wanted to do after a long Drive! Cleaning expectations seemed to be quite high before departure, esp when I’m assuming part of the cost is for the cleaning staff after. That said the caravans are spotless on arrival which we appreciated so I’m sure this helps with that!

We had booked a 15 night stay at Camping Charlemagne with Eurocamp that unfortunately we had to cut short due to the off site noise until the early hours of the morning mainly from the bars very close to our accommodation. When we arrived the lady at reception was very pleasant and kind with the children.
Whilst unlikely, stopping the bars from being allowed to play music past 11pm would be a vast improvement for the location of the accommodation we were in (501). There were other families with young children who were in the same row of accommodation as ourselves and would have suffered the same.
Accommodation review
We stayed in a two bedroom mobile - a lack of oven combined with ban on barbecue made catering quite difficult - the toilet was tiny - we have stayed in many mobile homes at many different parks over the years and this was probably the worst we have stayed in.
There was probably nothing to like about the accommodation - the slats on the double bed came apart on more than one occasion - the noise in the evening until the early hours followed by the early start for bin men or road sweepers was not conducive to a relaxing family holiday.

First off this holiday had a number of great things we really enjoyed. 1. Different swimming pool complexes. There are three swimming pool locations with different slides and types of pools. We really enjoyed the Nouvelle Floride park which is a 2 minute walk away from the sea. 2. Lovely clean cabins and well maintained caravan park. 3. Lots of restaurants, cafes and general retail shopping options near the camp and the beach. 4. Great variety of activities - we did volleyball, cycling and table tennis, 5. Great cycling routes for families. We did a 5km ride into Marseillan marina.
1.The vegetarian options are limited in all the local cafes and restaurants. Often only menu option is a three cheese baguette. 2. I am dairy intolerant and none of the cafes offer milk alternatives like soya milk for coffee. This was surprising as we visited the French Riviera last year and they had more options. My son also has a severe nut allergy and allergens are not explicitly called out. He ate a cheese baguette and wasn’t aware there was pesto in it. 3. If you’re from the UK, you’ll find food shopping and eating out more expensive. Defo budget £500-1000 for a family of 5 for 1 week

We would have liked two sun beds in the cottage rather then deck chairs

Great campsite, friendly staff, good facilities and the ability to use any of the 3 campsite facilities was excellent.
Unusual to be outside of the main Charlemagne campsite, as it felt slightly cut off - but otherwise was fine.

Clean, spacious, good veranda, quiet.
Pillows were not supportive enough, mattress was too soft.
